Would be nice, if the already downloaded files are saved for further use. At the moment your script tries to download the files everytime it is started.
Perhaps take a look at http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=65784. This one's for Linux/Amarok, saving the older xml files locally and also has a function to replace certain tags on the fly.
